Chicago bred designer Virgil Abloh takes us back to the school yard with high school / crack rap inspired label PYREX VISION.

Block colours, bold prints and ‘Letterman’ texts show off the ‘team’ attitude for the label’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, appropriately titled ‘YOUTH ALWAYS WINS’.

The line opens with printed tees, hoodies, shorts, socks and snapbacks, but it’s the full length flannels that we’re fiending for.

Check the A$AP Mob featured look-book video below for a closer view, and browse the entire collection at PYREX VISION.

High end ‘Gang-wear’ never felt so real.

Pick a colour, pick a side, pick a fight.

Are we even allowed to say that we think Solange is cooler than her big sis? Fuck it…

We know this came out in October, but that hasn’t stopped us from playing it an unhealthy amount.

Well go on then, press play…

Cult director / writer / producer / photographer / overall legend / Larry Clark has given studios and distributors ‘the bird’ in typical fashion for the release of his latest project ‘MARFA GIRL’.

Opting for a web-only digital release, Larry wanted to ‘cut out the middle men crooks’ and give his latest effort ‘straight to the people…who are only gonna watch it on their laptops anyway’.

Scooping ‘Best Film’ at the Rome Film Festival in November, ‘MARFA GIRL’ depicts the lives of a small community living in a remote West Texas desert town near the US-Mexico border, centering around 16 year old ‘Adam’ and his relationship with girlfriend ‘Inez’.

Best known for his work on 90s cult classic ‘Kids’, Clark’s fascination for Americana shines through in ‘MARFA GIRL’, and underneath the tenuous relationships and mentally unstable characters that he writes so well is a simple reflection of teen innocence in a part of America which still looks and feels like it belongs in the 50s.

You can catch Larry in classic bullish / passionate mood talking about the film in this great interview below, and watch ‘MARFA GIRL’ itself over on LarryClark.com

Our G.O.O.D. friend 2 Chainz blessed the world today with an extended version of the track ‘G.O.O.D. Morning’ taken from the ‘Cruel Summer’ album.

Along with the new vocals is a behind the scenes style visual diary of his recent European tour, of which a certain Ms. Eary makes an appropriate cameo.

Fast forward to 1.28 to witness Kate’s Moroccan bartering skills in full effect.

Shout to 2 Chaaaaainz

It’s not all fashion and drug fuelled hip-hop over here kids.  In between preparing for AW13 we’re also trying to bring down Parliament (usually on our lunch break).

This guy’s a few steps ahead of us though, and deffo smarter/scarier than us.

Tom Watson is a bit of a crusader. A trail blazer who has regularly rubbed the Government up the wrong way over the years. He can smell dead bodies under the patio, and like Columbo with the smallest of leads, he just won’t leave shit alone.

He played an instrumental role in exposing that little thing about some newspaper  being naughty and recording people (for which his missus left him for being too involved), casually published key evidence regarding the Leveson enquiry on his personal blog, and managed to reduce Lucifer himself (Rupert Murdoch) to a teary eyed crumple.

For his next trick, he’s going to name and shame a ring of political paedophiles that have been operating in the UK for over three decades…and he’ll probably get that done before he’s finished his Xmas shopping.

He’s the kind of man that will always divide opinion because of his trouble making tendencies, and I’d wager a bet that the ratio of his admirers to enemies borders on the negative. He’s controversial, a nuisance, and hated by many……so, bearing that in mind, we’d love to have you round for a cuppa Tom.

You can catch our friend Tom’s great, thought provoking and important work over on his blog here (his letters to David Cameron are particularly fun) - and we’d also recommend you start following his tweets over here.

His book ‘Dial M for Murdoch’ is one of the most talked about of it’s kind, chronicling the corruption of Britain, and is so juicy that Satan himself (Rupert, again) tried and failed to ban it.

We love a trouble maker – get familiar with him.

Linkoban.

A Danish musician (the term ‘rapper’ does her a disservice) whose end product will explain everything far better than a few copy and pasted paragraphs (Hi bloggers). Instead I’ll leave you with one of her lines to sample…

‘Love is the colour of a runny nose bleed’ …..DELIGHTFUL.

Dark, witty, insightful…and available on iTunes… here.

This is her latest effort titled ‘One Trick Pony’.

Directed by Dallanda Berry, the video captures ‘Linko’ getting her Macauley Culkin on…like all sane ex-girlfriends do.

We love her, and suspect you might as well.
